It was literally a once in a lifetime event in the fact that it had been nearly 10 years since many of the LAMECO S.O.G. (Silute Original Group) guys in attendance had last seen one another. As for the non-SOG in attendance, the event was a special treat. Everyone in attendance checked their egos at the door and it was as if it was one huge gathering of family and friends.

When we weren't training, we were conversing... everyone either catching up or getting to know one another. As for the training, it was excellent! Each session (by a different SOG member) was informative on its own. However, the sessions tied nicely together; as if everyone got together to decide what they would presented upon. I found out later that it was done completely freeform and just adds to the phenomenon that was Edgar Silute; his students knowledge of the art is so strong that their transitioning that knowledge flowed perfectly to those in attendance.

I'd like to publically thank all of the SOG guys for attending, those that instructed and, most especially, Roger Agbulos for coordinating the event. I, for one, can't wait for this event to take place next year!

Trapping 101

The Trapping 101 article Everything appears to be moved over and working as expected. We are waiting on the email system to migrate, so until then, email notifications (and new account creation) will not be 100% functional. I'll update everyone when everything is moved over.

Also, any activity that you've done in the past 24-36, please double check in another 24-36 hours that what you've done still exists. Essentially, if you can see this message and you see whatever activity you've done, then your good to go. Essentially tagging is the ability to specify various keywords and attach them to individual content. This is sort of like placing items within categories, but a bit more dynamic. What is great about this is that the more tags that are created and shared among various content, the better content will be linked together. These tags are also placed in a tag "cloud" and you can browse the content using this cloud. The bigger the tag, the more content there is regarding that tag. We've already gone through and tagged most of the existing content, so give it a try and let us know what you think!

Larry Hartsell in Austin area this coming weekend!

If your in the Austin area (or within driving distance), Larry Hartsell will be presenting a two day integrated grappling seminar this coming weekend (July 29th-30th).

Also for registered members, you can now chat with other registered members in real-time. Once you create a site account, the "Chat" navigation option will become available. Right now there is a single chat room, we may increase this in the future; so be sure to let us know how it's working out.

Want to know if anyone is in the chat room? At the lower portion of most sections of the site you'll find that it shows who is online. If you move your mouse over the registered users names, it will tell you where they currently are. If it says Chat... now you know. ;-)

Articles/Videos Sections Update

We've taken a moment to give the articles and videos sections a much needed face lift. There will, of course, be a lot more to come; but we think that this update should make browsing through the articles a lot easier.
